Radio ♫ Sound Horizon "Ark" ft. Revo & Jimang

Bun's Recommendations

Possibly the most perfect film to ever be animated (or created by human hands even). 100 carrots. PLEASE LET ME SEE THIS IN THEATERS!
More on Wikipedia
A beautifully animated movie featuring romantic retro cyberpunk cowboy vampires (say that 5 times fast haha)!
Sadly, the original voice acting is in a very cut-dry, deadpan English with repetitive dialogue script. There was a re-release with Japanese dub, so I'm not sure what happened to use English as the 'original' initial dub. Despite its shortcoming, the soundtrack is amazing and each scene set to it becomes hauntingly memorable. You'll know which scenes I'm referring to when you hear it! The novel-adapted story is toned down for the general audience; the novel had very adult, sensitive content that adds another layer of dimension to the characters. However, the lack on certain context does not take away from the overall plot!

Bunni rates this 4 out 5 carrots! I definitely would own it in a physical blu-ray copy if they ever redistribute it again!

More on Wikipedia
Woe it is to be a girl in love, but how wonderful nonetheless! A romantic chase that transcends time and space.
Out of all few films that the late Satoshi Kon created, this was the one that hit hardest. This film was so beautifully crafted, visually and sequentially. The soundtrack is so tender or lively when it wants to be, commanding the listener to feel the moments right down to their core. It is an homage to Japanese cinema (another showcase on another passion that transcends time) and how even old samurai films can still captivate audiences to this day. Millenium Actress also reflects this notion, its stylistic choices dates itself in both the available technology that it had during the movies making (hand-painted traditional on cels) and in its main premise. Speaking of which!
This is a movie about the wonderful life of a young girl, whose purpose in life is to be in love with and to chase after the unknown!

Bunni rates this 5 out of 5 carrots! What a perfectly crafted story that also makes me want to enjoy the life I have, at least the best I can. I definitely want to own this in physical someday! Thankfully it is not trapped in a vault and is available!

More on Wikipedia
Gotta give this movie some respect! It was the beginning of a long love for anime and manga. Well, not this film in particular but the spinoff! Still! Without this movie, I don't think I'd have the same taste in anime and comics the way I do now. So here goes!
This is a wonderfully animated film with such a distinctive comicbook style about vampires and the broody sentinel that keeps them in check. Saya is a force of nature that doesn't need to be understood despite her long mysterious history and that is completely ok! Preferable even! The voice acting may need some time to get used to as it is original acted in English. The film keeps you captivate it's whole runtime of 45mins. It definitely feels experimental and, I believe, it was successful at what it was trying to achieve.
I give this a solid 9 out of 10 carrots. Thank you Blood: TLV for being who you are <3 Everyone is gonna give me flack for this BUT I have ever only seen Magnetic Rose in this 3-part anthology >< I admit that I came here after discovering that Satoshi Kon (The Greatest Director-Animator Of All Time) worked on this story in particular. What surprised me most was its content though, despite having some idea of the type of work that he does.
You'd never think that this would predate Event Horizon or Deadspace and yet! A floating haunted mansion ship?? SIGN ME UP! The ethereal nature of the resident ghost! THe introspective look into the characters' troubled soul! This was Event Horizon before Event Horizon! Despite it's short run time, this story made sure to keep the msytery going to the very end, keeping you held in suspense. Like falling in slow motion. 10 out of 10 carrots! I wish this was published in its own phsyical copy. But I guess that means I'll have the fun opportunityto give the other two stories a chance to see if it's worth owning the whole film physically! BLUESKY WEBSITE INSTA TWITTER TWITTER TWITTER BLUESKY
